“Essence” exhibition at The White House shows various collections and drawings
The White House in Plettenberg Bay recently held an exhibition “Essence” showing Arabella Caccia’s work alongside paintings by Cathy Abrahams.
Paintings and drawings from Arabella’s Being and Gifts From the Garden collections, and also a selection of her pencil drawings were exhibited at the show.
With inspiration found at Boesmanskop, a magical farm at the foot of the Swartberg Pass near Kruis Rivier where Tinie Becker has made a jewel like garden, Arabella painted and drew every day in the silence of the garden during the spring of 2011. It was here where she drew most of the work from her Gifts From the Garden collection and her pencil drawings, Friendship, Desire and Delight.
